Meet Juanita Wynn: A Singer/Songwriter Making Waves in the Music Industry

Juanita Wynn, a singer and songwriter, was born in Reno, Nevada, and is poised to take the music industry by storm with her angelic voice in movie films, stage plays, and events as needed. Her musical journey began at the young age of five when she began singing with her five older siblings, “The Wynn Sisters,” in her father's church where she learned the art of harmonizing. At 18 years old, she started writing her songs as a GRAMMY AWARD WINNING songwriter, ultimately attracting the interest of music icon Quincy Jones, who signed her first 2-year publishing deal. She later signed on with Sony ATV Music Publishing for four years.

Juanita has written for numerous well-known artists, including the incomparable Diana Ross, gospel artist Fred Hammond, R&B songstress Angie Stone, multi-platinum-selling female R&B group Destiny’s Child, Ben Tankard, jazz musician Norman Brown, Shirley Murdock, and Lalah Hathaway. She is also a notable motivational speaker for women and children and was the keynote speaker at Fordham University in September 2015, where she elaborated on the exploitation of women in the music industry.

Despite her success, Juanita’s journey has been far from easy. She has experienced homelessness, worked as a group home counselor, and juggled motherhood while pursuing her passion for music. Her new CD and stage play, entitled "This Thing Called Life," shares her interpretations of love, joy, peace, and encouragement with the world.

Juanita also hopes to make a difference in young people's lives. Her passion is to use music in theater to problem-solve, and she wants to open a small classroom full of young people for this purpose. She calls it narrative expression.

The world is watching as Juanita's journey to success continues.
